Putting the revs in revenue
Monetizing online content. Easy to say. But as many companies are finding out, much, much trickier to do.
Here's how YouTube went about it. They asked us to design a new form of Gadget Ads. These offered a way for third party providers to sponsor content. We wire-framed a design that enabled a continuous stream of videos.
One of the series was about cars. We called it Full Throttle. The sponsor paid to have their name attached to the content. Monetization was finally in the fast lane.
