Case Study
Brief
The Google Personalized Homepage changed its name to iGoogle in 2007. The whole idea was to allow users to make Google their own by decorating it using Google-supplied artwork. A year later, we (and a select group of agencies around the world) were asked to take things to another level. And make the spirits of an eclectic array of artists live and breathe through iGoogle.
Insight
From pop art, to fine art. From high brow to no brow. Everyone loves art.
Solutions
It was decided to put a mass of original artwork at everyone's fingertips. That way, everyone would find something that would excite their individual taste. How did we do it? By teaming up with renowned artists and performers. They did the work. We reworked it to create an iGoogle optimised version of their art.
Results
Tens upon millions of users downloaded the artwork to their iGoogle home pages. Warm arty feelings all round.
