One Gadget. Five rings. Millions of hits.
For sheer global interest, the scale of the Olympics is truly… Olympian. Most of us watch the games on TV where the rights have been paid for by the broadcaster. But in some countries (and for some events) there' s no coverage at all. So our client, Google, hired us to develop an interactive ad that would let users see highlights of that day' s events on YouTube. But it could only appear in countries where the events were not being broadcast. A clever Gadget Ad was required. Instead of clicking through to a site, Gadget Ads enable content to be viewed anywhere the ad appears. A simple carousel of videos displayed the viewing choices available and this was updated daily. We had over 15 million hits on the first day. A case of faster, higher, stronger. And now, Gadgetier.
