Ancestry.co.uk, the UK’s number 1 family history website has appointed Essence to handle its online activity. We will be looking after all media planning and buying in the UK which is to include search, display and partnerships.
Launched in 2002 Ancestry.co.uk belongs to a global network of Ancestry websites which contains 5 billion records, with more than 35 million photographs and stories uploaded to the site. Helping Ancestry users build a picture, or ‘tree’ of their past, they can map out their history discovering long lost relatives or connections that would have other-wise been left buried.
We will be working with Initiative who have been appointed to deal with all offline media activity. Both appointments will play a decisive role in driving Ancestry’s growth in the UK market. And we look forward to driving their online presence for them. We are very happy to be become a new member of the Ancestry family tree.
