  • See what the future of digital holds at Shuffle.

For the fourth year running we hosted our annual client event, Shuffle. Taking place at The May Fair Hotel on 20th October, we brought together senior digital marketers from some of the leading companies in the industry. The guest speakers this year certainly left many of us inspired and thinking outside of the box. If you weren’t able to attend Shuffle or missed hearing a speaker, you can view the presentations by loading one of the videos to the right.

As always, there was no set theme for our speakers and you’ll find that each presentation offers something different. Below is a preview on what each presentation is about, but we of course encourage you to watch them all!

    Rod Henwood, Pottermore:

Rod guides us through the wizardry world of Pottermore, while sharing his insights on the digital world as he sees it. From his experience in devising a video-on-demand platform with ITV/Channel 4/BBC, Rod shares 8 points on how to prioritise media players and how it fits in with Pottermore.

Pottermore is J.K. Rowling’s digital reading experience, centred around the Harry Potter stories, providing a community experience and a shop, where users can buy exclusively the eBooks and digital audiobooks of the series.

    Ben Ladkin, Arsenal Media Group:

Ben talks of Arsenal’s social media strategy and how it's evolved over the last three years to help reach, engage and monetise with/from their large global support. With a Facebook fan base that grows by 20K a day, 1m followers on twitter, content on Arsenal.com and various mobile platforms , Ben explains how their content strategy has become platform agnostic. They want to deliver relevant, official content to wherever the fan wants to receive it.

    Ashley Friedlein, Econsultancy:

Ashley talks us through the world of data-driven decision making, with insights on how online data can be the biggest opportunity and challenge for online marketers. He shares real data from Econsultancy.com to show how it is used internally to help understand and drive business decisions around social media, mobile and video usage. Ashley highlights that it’s important to know what works for your customers and business by using data to help you determine what you should do, as opposed to doing what you think you should do.

Tom Uglow, Google Creative Labs, EMEA:

Tom takes us on a journey of digital marketing ideas and how a number of themes can help us all think outside the box when marketing to our audience. Some of the themes talks over are: ideas about the future today; make a model, make it scale; data is the new front of house; and video is real-time.

Tom closes with his digital wish list, which includes things like curated channels, non-commercial live broadcast and personal data streams.

If you have suggestions on who you would like to hear at next years event, get in touch and let us know. We hope to see you at Shuffle next year!
